Our Story

Where it started

This photo was taken years ago in Wyoming, back when the two of us were still learning as we went, spending long afternoons together and noticing the little things most people miss. We have always been drawn to craft, to texture, to the way a tiny detail can hold a whole memory. Even then, jewelry was never about status for us. It was about meaning, and the feeling of wearing something personal.

That shared love has shaped our lives and, eventually, our work. Every piece from Clare and Mae still begins the same way, with the two of us side by side, testing, refining, and making something built to last and meant to be lived in.

We are intentionally selective. Every metal, stone, and finishing detail we choose is something we would be proud to wear ourselves, and we stay mindful of what it means to source responsibly. By working with trusted suppliers, reducing waste, and hand finishing the parts that matter most, we make sure each piece of jewelry is not only beautiful and long lasting, but thoughtfully made.

We genuinely love what we do, and we wear our jewelry ourselves. We promised each other we would stay true to the craft, so we keep our collection small, check every detail by hand, and only release pieces that feel personal, intentional, and truly worth keeping for a lifetime.

Beautifully packaged and ready to gift, without the waste. Every order arrives in a reusable signature box and protective pouch made to be kept, not thrown away. We choose recycled and responsibly sourced materials wherever possible, and pack each piece using minimal, recyclable packaging. If you would like, we can also handwrite a note to include so your gift feels personal, thoughtful, and kinder to the planet.

We want you to love your Clare and Mae piece just as much as we loved making it. If it is not quite right, you are welcome to request a return or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order.

All we ask is that the piece comes back to us in acceptable condition and in its original packaging. Simply email us with your order details, and we will take care of the rest.

Your jewelry is made to last. Our materials are chosen for durability and everyday wear, and the finish is designed to hold up beautifully over time. Like anything well made, it will develop character with use, but it should not discolor or lose its look under normal conditions. With a little care, it will stay beautiful for years.

Yes, shipping really is free. For all orders within the USA, we provide free USPS Tracked Express shipping. There is no paid priority option because it is not needed. Every customer receives the same fast, careful service.

We pack each Clare and Mae piece by hand and ship it as soon as your order comes in. Once your package is on its way, you will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow it all the way to your doorstep.

Delivery times can vary slightly depending on where you live, but our promise is simple. We ship quickly, and you never pay for shipping.

Every single design is created by Clare and Mae. Each piece begins as a sketch at our workbench, is brought to life by hand in our studio, and is carefully inspected by one of us before it is sent to you.

Life happens. If your piece needs attention, contact us with your order number and a clear photo of the issue. Within the first 6 months, we will repair or replace pieces that show a problem with materials or craftsmanship whenever possible.

For accidents or well loved wear after that, we are still happy to review repair options or offer a discount toward a replacement.
